 TL:DR: The entire course is for 65 Kms and specially curated by Bhadra Team. First 30kms is a mas start ride where you get to explore scenic roads of Chikamagaluru. From the 33RD Km mark, a 12KM ITT Race will start. Post which you can again enjoy scenic roads of chikkamagaluru again. Winners oF ITT Race will be declared overall winners.

About Bhadra Cycling Challenge:

Bhadra Cycling challenge is an unique challenge for all the Riders, one can choose from Road, MTB, Gravel or Hybrid bike to embrace the challenge. Cherry on the cake is there will be an ITT for 12.5 KMS with an elevation of 1175 Meters, however this will be an optional, those who want to challenge themselves you can certainly choose ITT on the spot where your time will be calculated and the best time will be announced as Bhadra Cycling Challenge Champion with ROAD and NON ROAD bike category.

Note: Those who participate in the entire challenge only they can participate in the ITT.. No Participant will be allowed participate only in the ITT.

About Namma Bhadra Tiger Reserve:

In 1951, the then Mysuru Government had declared Jagara Valley as Jagara Valley Game Sanctuary covering 77.45 sq. miles (124.643 sq. km). This was later expanded into Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary covering an area of 492.46 sq. km in 1974. On 19th November 1998, Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary was titled as Bhadra Tiger Reserve under Project Tiger, making it India’s 25th Tiger Reserve. In 2007, the Reserve was ordained as Bhadra Tiger Reserve by the Government of Karnataka.

About the Event:

We are proud to invite you to the celebration of 25 years of BHADRA TIGER RESERVE in Namma Karnataka. The BHADRA CYCLING CHALLENGE is a unique and one-of-a-kind event where our athletes will be cycling the country side of Chikkamagaluru district.

The Route:

About the Course:

• Course is quite straightforward with good climb
• ITT – Individual Time Trail will start from 33.5 KM – Muthodi Nature camp to The Estate Coffee shop Mallandur
• The entire course is TARMAC road with little pot holes.

• Elevation:

• Ascend 1250 Mtrs in 30 Kms
• Downhill can be quite gnarly – So be mindful
• No Traffic will be halted for the event
• There will be pilot vehicle and route markings for entire course

• Men & Women 18 and Above
• Cut Off: 6 Hours – Full Course

65 KMs – NON-ROAD BIKE (MTB, Hybrid & Gravel – NO E-BIKES)

• Men & Women 18 and Above
• Cut Off: 8 Hours Full Course
• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 65 Years
• Age Proof is MUST and needs to show at the time of Registration – No Age Proof No Participation whatsoever.

• 6.00 AM: Registration
• 7:00 AM: Race Flag Off
• 3:00 PM: Lunch followed by Closing Ceremony

L N T: We follow a very strict L N T Rule – LEAVE NO TRACE, participants who do not follow it will be disqualified from the race without any notification, what you bring you should carry that back, no littering whatever reasons – Especially your gels.

• Must have prior experience in hill climbing
• It Might Rain – get ready accordingly
• Family & Friends of the athletes are welcome
• No Cancellation / No refunds on No show whatsoever at any point

• Any category having less than 7 Athletes will be automatically moved to the Open Category.
• As of now, the dates for the events are fixed. However, for any new rule, law or order by the government in the interest of public safety, this event might get postponed to a later date.

Safari:

• Safari will be in MUTHODI Nature camp
• Slots will be allotted First come First Serve basis
• Please reach Muthodi a minimum 1 hour early for your slots
